About Dr. Washinsky

Dr. Washinsky graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine with a Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree.  (http://doctorsthatdo.org/difference

He went on to complete a residency in General Psychiatry at the University of New Mexico.   His residency included membership on the Psychiatry Department’s Program Evaluation Committee, acting as Co-Chair of the Department’s Educational Climate Committee, and serving as Chief Resident.  Dr. Washinsky was presented with UNM’s Diana Quinn Award, which exemplifies “Compassion, Service, and ‘Dancing Spirit’.” 

Dr. Washinsky is Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in General Psychiatry.  He has served on the Board of the Psychiatric Medical Association of New Mexico and has presented Grand Rounds at UNM.  Dr. Washinsky has worked at the VA Medical Clinic in Durango since 2014 and continues to work there part-time.
